Mr. Bloom has practiced geotechnical engineering in the greater Monterey Bay and San Francisco Bay areas for the past 25 years. His completed projects include school facilities, commercial developments, public works, and single family residences. He has provided numerous design recommendations for foundation systems, retaining walls, pipelines, roadways and pavement sections, trail projects, dams, and cell towers. Mr. Bloom also has project experience with multiple transportation projects including bridges, road repairs, interchanges, and light rail projects. Project environments have varied from soft and liquefiable soils to competent bedrock, each with their own design requirements. Mr. Bloom manages all of the firm’s projects from the design phase through the completion of construction.

Mr. Jimenez has 6 years of experience working in Geotechnical Engineering. He has experience with field investigations, laboratory work, geotechnical engineering analysis, and field observation and testing. He is also the Lab Manager for our Firm.
Jim Olson
Engineering Geologist

Mr. Olson has practiced geology in Northern California for the past 25 years on a wide variety of projects for a diverse clientele. Typical projects include single family homes, commercial developments, schools, rock quarries and timber harvest plans. Mr. Olson also has extensive experience with infrastructure related projects, including pipelines, roadways, bridges, and water tanks. These projects require a wide range of geologic analysis including; landslide identification and repair, slope stability analysis, faulting evaluation, seismic site assessment and occasionally coastal and other geologic hazards.
