Butano Geotechnical Engineering, founded in 2006, provides Geotechnical Engineering, Pavement Design, General Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, and testing and inspection services within the greater Monterey Bay and San Francisco Bay areas. Our projects include city street, school athletic facilities and building, commercial buildings, residential, and public works. We are a full service geotechnical firm with a fully equipped DSA and AASHTO certified in-house soil laboratory. 

Our firm provides Falling Weigh Deflection Testing (FWD) and pavement coring for existing pavement rehabilitation design. We also provide QA and QC for all our pavement projects.

At Butano we are experts in navigating DSA projects. We will get you through the geotechnical and geologic review for DSA. And we will provide testing and inspection services to get you through construction with your geotechnical and special inspections verified reports.
